OHB Information Technology Services GmbH (formerly OHB Infosys GmbH) is the internal partner for all group companies of the OHB Space Systems division, providing them any kind of IT service. Our excellent management of operations helps us to ensure secure IT operations and services on a daily basis. Having a wide range of project expertise, we are driving forward the digitization within the OHB group .
Digital Infrastructure & Services
The Digitial Infrastructure and Services department is made up of three teams.
IT Customer Service is the first point of contact for all service requests and issues. IT Customer Service analyzes and resolves user issues or refers them to other support groups as needed. The Incident Manager (IT Customer Service team leader) is the first point of contact for escalating problems.
The Network & Data Center Infrastructure team looks after OHB's digital backbone, both in OHBNET and OHBSEC. All network and virtualization technologies are administered and enhanced here. The team is also responsible for the operation and further development of the data centers, hardware, storage and backup infrastructure.
The Operating System Infrastructure team is responsible for the operation and administration of the Windows and Linux operating systems on OHB's servers and clients. One important task is the ongoing optimization and automation of the operating systems and architectures with the aim of eliminating the IT security vulnerabilities reported by the manufacturers. The team also looks after infrastructure standard services.
Architecture & Infrastructure Demand Management
Architecture Demand Management ensures that we always have an overview of current requirements and use our expertise to strategically and technologically align new solutions.
Infrastructure Demand Management for software and hardware products ensures, together with
- Software Asset Management ensures that the necessary compliance with software manufacturers and licensors is maintained and that optimum economic use is made of the software products deployed at OHB;
- central hardware procurement to ensure that we use the right technological platforms in the client and server environment within the Company.
ERP and Analytics
Our Enterprise Resource Planning Team provides the central platform for handling core business processes on the basis of SAP. Additionally, this team concentrates on the expansion of competencies in the area of analytics.
Product Development Applications
By using a PDM (Product Data Management) platform, we are currently introducing the most modern and standardized processes for our product development with a range extending up to digital production. We are expanding our solution portfolio in this growing area, constantly.
Our Application Platforms Team provides OHB employees with powerful software solutions for multiple areas of application. We keep our Application Platforms "up to date", we stay in contact with the software manufacturers, as well as support the users. In this connection, we are pushing ahead with the standardization and harmonization of applications within OHB.
Digitalization, IT Portfolio & IT Security
The definition and implementation of the digital strategy, the management of the resulting project portfolio as well as ensuring operational IT security in cooperation with the other departments of OHB IT Services are tasks of the staff team Digitalization, IT Portfolio & IT Security.
